Educational Programs

STFC offered its first parent enrichment classes in 2006 in various locations throughout the Coastal Bend Area. STFC has partnered with many nonprofit and for-profit organizations like CCISD, Nueces County Community Action Agency, Department of Justice Weed and Seed, Flour Bluff ISD, Goodwill, Salvation Army, and Arms Wide Adoption Agency. STFC also partnered with the Department of Health and Human Services and various churches throughout the area promoting marriage education workshops.

Domestic Violence Awareness

STFC specializes in helping families find help for family members/friends involved in domestic violence. We offer counseling services and provide resources, when available, to those who are or have experienced trauma caused by someone they know and loved. STFC counselors help victims of domestic violence recognize the signs of trauma and learn how to implement techniques necessary to prevent and heal from its aftermath.

Beach to Bay Run for Domestic Violence

Every year, STFC participates in Beach to Bay to help bring awareness to the silent history of domestic violence in the Coastal Bend. We aim to be visible in the community and help others realize there are organizations out there that can support, aid, and encourage them through their domestic violence healing process.
